Our "Little" Goblins!

We had so much fun tonight with our little ones. The boys were so excited and were ready to rock n roll as soon as Pop and Mimi arrived. Here are just a few pics from the evening.

The weather was almost perfect except for a couple of sprinkles. Afte trick or treating we went back to Ryan and Cortney's and had pizza and chocolate chip cookies. Reid sat at the front door and passed out candy to the customers (he kept saying "here come more customers"). LOL!!! I hope everyone had as great an evening as we did.

Happy Halloween

I hope everyone has a happy and safe halloween!

Mercy Me

Have you ever thought you would start a small project and by the time you finished it, it was anything but small. Today was one of those days. I was going to change our closet over to winter clothes a couple of weeks ago and I got sick and didn't feel like it. Well, this morning it was 34 chilly degrees outside........so I thought, hey why not stay in, drink hot tea and change out your closet. Well that's what I did. Sorta. The first thing I did was move Alvins' summer things out and put them on the love seat in our bedroom. The next step was to move my summer things out and lay them on the bed. I might add it is 8:52 p.m. and my summer clothes are still in the closet because I got side tracked by going to Caseys' closet. At which time I started pulling my old SWA uniforms (that have been discontinued) out of the closet, I threw those on Caseys' bed along with some old prom dresses and a few other articles of clothing. I should have stopped at this point and realized I was a little off track. Oh but no, next thing I know I am in Cortneys' closet (hang with me here) at which point I am saying to myself, "where did all this stuff come from and how is it that it is still at our house". For example.........

This is a box of rose petals, yes dried rose petals. People Cortney has been gone from this house since 1994! (yes Cort I realize they are from Ryan and they are special that's why when I come to visit you this week they will be visiting you as well. Ok, moving right along.

Why can I not part with this T-shirt. I guess because Cortney was soooooo crazy about these guys and I'll never forget taking my girls to their concert in St. Louis! (boy that was a crazy day huh) Guess what guys you to will have a new residence by the end of the week. Next thing up........

OH MY GOSH!!!! Look at all these dyeable shoes. Now really who in their right mind would ever wear these again. They will not be going to Cortneys' house to live because they are now residing in the trash can. Oh, except for Corts' bridal shoes, I just couldn't bear to toss them, so they too are going along for the ride. And while we are on the subject of shoes, Cortney please tell me those are not a pair of your old cheerleading asics........oh I can't wait to open this......Oh, Cortney no!!!!! Sorry folks this box has a story of it's own and will have to wait!! I know, I know the suspense is killing you isn't it. Oh and I know it's killing Cortney, cause she can't stand suspense. HA!!!

Looky here what I found next, a little brownie dress. Don't worry, it's not moving residence either, I packed it into a plastic container along with this sweet sailor dress of Caseys' that I couldn't bear to part with.

Oh Casey, you looked so adorable in this little red dress with your red hair and I always loved sailor collars, especially this one with your name on it.

And all the cheerleading uniforms, couldn't bear to toss those either, so they too now reside in the plastic container with a few more nostalgic things from days go by.

Whoa! Wait a minute I got way off the subject. Come back to me Becky girl, come on back. Ok, I'm back. After getting into Cortneys' closet and organizing and reorganizing I ended up with 4 trash bags full of stuff for the goodwill. I wish you guys could of seen the mess I had at this point. Now this morning our house was pretty straight. OH, OH, not anymore. At this point it was time for Alvin to come home for lunch. My head starts spinning, I'm feeling a little dizzy, the next thing I know I'm yelling. HELP ME OPRAH WINFREY! HELP ME TOM CRUISE!! WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!! And then he appears MY HERO!!! Yep Alvin waltzed into the room and after lunch he helped me get everything picked up, his clothes are back in the closet, my old work uniforms are out on the back porch waiting for the logo's to be cut out so I can destroy them and I WILL get the rest of the closets cleaned out tomorrow......after all tomorrow is another day!!!!

I've Been Tagged!

My friend Jacquie tagged me for a photo game.......here's how you play.

1. Open your picture folder.

2. Go to the sixth folder.

3. Open the sixth picture.

4. Import into your blog and tell the story.

Ok, here's my picture. It's of a table and chairs that I've been looking at for a while. I also found another set while I was there so I included that picture too. Here's the good part. I want your thoughts on these two. I really want a square table that has the tall chairs. However, I'm a little nervous about getting the taller chairs. Do any of you have the taller table and chairs? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I tag anyone who wants to play along!

Pumpkin Madness

I feel so blessed each day to work for such a caring company. I started a three day trip on Friday and when I went to the lounge to check in here's who greeted me. "The pumpkin clan"! (double click to enlarge to get the full effect) Are they not the cutest! Our supervisors are having a pumpkin decorating contest. You can donate $1.00 and vote for the most creative, spookiest and and best overall. The proceeds go to "Challenge Air"which takes terminally ill children for a ride in an airplane.

I love the pig, she's so cute!

Lovin' me some Miss M & M

Isn't Nemo cute, wish you could see the whole thing

The one on the left is amazing! WOW someone is a great artist. When you enlarge
you will notice the mice coming out the holes on
the pumpkin on the right!

The finishing touch

I've been prowling around for a couple of months to find the perfect something to go between the potty and bathtub.

Before we remodeled the bathroom I had a cute straw basket filled with towels. But once we remodeled it just didn't go with the decor. So..............

Look what I found!!! I paid only $28 for this cute iron basket stand. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and immediately thought it would look nice between the potty and tubby. So.............

I bought it, sanded it and spray painted it the same color as the "M".

And I thought it turned out PERFECT!!! I love easy projects.

Long time, no blog!

Wow, it's been awhile!!! Let me see, where did I leave off. Oh, I remember, little kitty baby. Well, long story short. Little kitty baby has a good home out in the country. Our fierce hunter (Boscoe) didn't like little kitty baby and we were afraid he would kill her. I took her to our vet and one of the employee's took her home. I do miss her! Maybe someday I can get a grown yellow tabby and fierce hunter won't bother it. Until then I'll stop everytime I see a yellow kitty and try and pet it. Oh how I love yellow kitty's.

Reid's school had grandparents day a couple of weeks ago and we had sooooo much fun! He was so excited! Here are a few pics from the day. Pop, Reid and Mimi Reid's group acting out a poem about leaves turning and fall.

Sweet Reid picked Mimi flowers from the playground.

Cortney packed us a delicious lunch. Thanks Cort!

Guess who was chosen Citizen of the Week?

You guessed it. Our little man!

Reid has the sweetest teacher and a wonderful group of kiddo's in his room this year! Pop and I will never forget our first grandparents day and look forward to many more for years to come!

Our new addition

I was driving down our street on the way to the bank this morning and look what was walking towards me in the street. This sweet baby. Just look at her (or him) we aren't really sure yet. Poor little baby was half starved. I don't think I've ever blogged about this, but not only am I a HUGE kitty lover, I 'm a total nutso about yellow tabby's. Our last yellow tabby disappeared two years ago this October 13th. We never found a body or anything she just disappeared. Her name was Sugar. I haved looked for Sugar for almost two years now. Everytime I've pulled into our driveway since her disappearance I've thought she might be sitting at the door where she always met me when I would come in from a trip. Alvin knows I have wanted another yellow tabby, however, each time we saw a stray we were never able to persuade it to let us touch it. OH NOT TODAY! I immediately stopped my car and I thought oh please let this baby let me pet it. Well this sweet thing ran to me and as soon as I picked her (or him) up (ok, I'm calling her a girl) she started purring like crazy! So guess who has a home tonight. That's right, I came right home and fed her. I've never seen surch a little thing eat so much!

She's in our laundry room tonight. We don't dare let her outside because of the fierce hunter (Bosco). We're really not sure what he might do to her. However, she is quite content in her homemade (shoebox) bed for the night.

Oh and last but not least, we need a name. We're going to assume she is a girl. Some of the names we are tossing around are Ruby, Stella, (my sister suggested) Pumpkin. Does anyone in blogland have a suggestion? Feel free to let me know.

All Done!

Remember a couple of weeks ago I posted about my bargain of the century cabinet I bought at Lucky's for $50. Well, I've been collecting goodies to place on the top along the way. I love the finished look. The cute little pumpkins came from Dollar General for $2.00 each, and remember the candle sticks, I can't even remember how much they were. All I remember is I lugged them around for three days after purchasing them in LA. LOL! Everything else is from my beloved Hobby Lobby for 50% off. Dang I love that place!!!

I've been tagged

My flight attendant friend Katie at Ritch in Love has tagged me. I'm supposed to list
(6) quirky things about me. Feel free to play along. OK, here goes.

(1) I love to do laundry, I know, I know, I'm kind of a freak like that. I never have dirty clothes in the hamper, because I keep my laundry done up at all times!

(2) I HATE, hear me people, HATE rubber bands. I cannot touch them and I really don't like to even see one laying around. GROSS!! Just so you know it was REALLY, REALLY hard for me to even put this picture on my blog! YUUUUCK!!!!

(3) I LOVE fresh squeezed lime on my salads instead of salad dressing.

(4) I can only eat scrambled eggs if they have ketchup on them.

(5) I love the anticipation of a storm. When the weather channel has Arkansas in the red I get a little excited!! I know, we're dealing with a psycho here!

(6) (Alvin helped me with this one) I could care less if my car is clean inside or out! However, it's always clean, because my hero keeps it that way!
