Our new addition

I was driving down our street on the way to the bank this morning and look what was walking towards me in the street. This sweet baby. Just look at her (or him) we aren't really sure yet. Poor little baby was half starved. I don't think I've ever blogged about this, but not only am I a HUGE kitty lover, I 'm a total nutso about yellow tabby's. Our last yellow tabby disappeared two years ago this October 13th. We never found a body or anything she just disappeared. Her name was Sugar. I haved looked for Sugar for almost two years now. Everytime I've pulled into our driveway since her disappearance I've thought she might be sitting at the door where she always met me when I would come in from a trip. Alvin knows I have wanted another yellow tabby, however, each time we saw a stray we were never able to persuade it to let us touch it. OH NOT TODAY! I immediately stopped my car and I thought oh please let this baby let me pet it. Well this sweet thing ran to me and as soon as I picked her (or him) up (ok, I'm calling her a girl) she started purring like crazy! So guess who has a home tonight. That's right, I came right home and fed her. I've never seen surch a little thing eat so much!

She's in our laundry room tonight. We don't dare let her outside because of the fierce hunter (Bosco). We're really not sure what he might do to her. However, she is quite content in her homemade (shoebox) bed for the night.

Oh and last but not least, we need a name. We're going to assume she is a girl. Some of the names we are tossing around are Ruby, Stella, (my sister suggested) Pumpkin. Does anyone in blogland have a suggestion? Feel free to let me know.

Awww.....how precious! I am so glad that you came along and rescued her. It's like God sent you a replacement for your "Sugar" and almost at the same time that she disappeared a couple of years ago. God is so good!

Maybe you should name her "Splenda" since she is a "Sugar replacement"!!!

Congratulations on your new baby!

Your blog looks fantastic. I love the new look and all the pictures of your sweet, handsome grandsons!

We had a yellow tabby when I was really little and we named him "Suzie". A boy cat named Suzie. I guess since I had two sisters, he was bound to get a girls' name. Ha!

She looks comfy already in that picture on Alvin's lap! For some reason, when I look at her I see "Marmalade," but feel free to use "Suzie" too. Ha!

What a sweet kitty! And how lucky for her that you came along to save her! I love it when people do wonderful things for animals. They are so helpless and they need us to love them!

I still remember good ole Alex! You do have a thing for yellow tabbies. I have to say that I think Splenda would be a perfect name!

Oh, such a cute kitty. She was definitely meant to be in your home, I sorta like pumpkin for a name also. I love your post below, the love the pumpkins on the candle sticks. I haven't been to hobby lobby forever. I really need to make a trip there.

I like Splenda and Pumpkin, both. Or maybe "Autumn". We rescued our cat from the Humane Society in December of 1998 and named her "Holly".
