I recently posted my "100th" blogpost. Wow, when I started my blog almost a year ago I had planned on blogging mainly about my travels at 37,000 feet. Henceforth, the title Looking through the eyes of Luv (Southwest is the Luv airline). However, I have ventured far away from that subject. Must be the blond hair! HA!!
Anywho, in celebration of my "100th" post it's time for a giveaway!!! I found these cute towels at TJ Maxx and More and knew the minute I saw them what I was going to do.
So here ya go girls. Sign up. Just leave a comment and you will be entered. The deadline is Monday, December 1st at 6:00 p.m., CST.
Good Luck!

Self indulgence
This is my neice Cindy (we call her Lou). Hard to believe she has a son twenty-two isn't it. Anywho, we got up at the crack of dawn this morning, drove to Conway and shopped all day! I meant to take pictures all day and totally forgot until we got home and started unloading. OH MY GOSH......several merchants had already started their sales early, can you tell!!! We had a BLAST! Would you believe we bought all this and neither one of us purchased one single Christmas gift. HA!!! What does that tell ya. Right, it's all about us!!! At least today. Is that wrong? LOL!!!

Anyhooty (yes, I make up my own words), I had planned on scanning pictures of my hero and myselft and posting a wonderful tribute to my sweetie, but my computer had others plans (plus I only slept 4 hours last night and I can't even think straight right now. Don't you just hate that. Instead I have this picture that Alvin took of us tonight before we went to dinner. OH and as you can see he suprised me with a dozen long stem RED roses. My fav!!! We went out to Doc's grill for a nice quit dinner, came home and slow danced in our den. It's 9:20 and he is sound asleep in his chair and I'm not far behind. Happy Anniversary honey!!
My computer
Hey everyone. Looks like my computer has bit the dirt. I'll be off the air until I get it fixed. If I'm not on by Thanksgiving I would like to wish each and everyone of you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

It's a bird.....it's a plane......it's
The sun will come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow, there'll be sun.......
Are any of you like me. It has been rainy and cold for the last couple of days and I have felt horrible, not only because I have a scratchy throat and a runny nose. But because the sun hasn't been out. My spirits are always sailing high when the sun is out. I mean it can be cold (remember I don't like cold weather) but as long as the sun is out I'm a happy camper.

God's Paint brush
A few days ago Alvin and I drove up to winterize our boat and God provided a beautiful backdrop for us to enjoy. Arkansas is truly one of the most beautiful states in the USA especailly during the fall. Please enjoy..........
This last picture was taken here in our home town. Isn't this tree braggin'! When the girls were home, every morning on our way to school during the fall we would watch this beauty as it would go from green, to red, to orange, to yellow and finally bear. Isn't it funny how the smallest things in life make you smile :)
WARNING! WARNING! EMERGENCY SUBJECT CHANGE!!!! OK, this is November 10th and I'm ready for spring again. It's 31 degrees this morning!!! Burrrrrrrrrrr!!!! The Mullins' family does not, I repeat.......does not like cold weather!!!!! It was supposed to be rainy today and I was going to stay in my jamies all day, do laundry, finish decorating my christmas tree (yup, you heard me), drink hot tea and make a big pot of Taco soup! Well, actually I'm still going do all that, except now I will put my clothes on, bundle up and walk!!!! I sure hope I don't freeze to death!!!
For those of you who need to warm up those bodies and you don't feel like getting out and walking or going to the gym today, here's my Taco Soup receipe........
2 lbs ground beef
1 or 2 cans of rotel (depending on how spicy you want it)
2 cans stewed tomatoes
frozen corn (or you can use 1 can of whole kernel and 1 can of cream corn)
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 pkg. ranch seasoning (not dip)
1 can pinto beans
2 cans chili beans
small onion
Brown ground beef. Drain. Add taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix to ground beef and stir. Add canned ingredients and corn (do not drain). Bring to boil. Cover, simmer on low for 30 - 45 minutes. Serve with tortilla chps, sour cream, shredded cheese, salso, etc. Enjoy!

I got Lucky again!
Remember a couple of months ago when I purchased this cabinet at "Lucky's" for $50. Well look what I found last week...........
This cute chest which looks like it came from Pottery barn. The best part is......it was only $20. That's right $20 oh my gosh! What a deal!

Here's a close up. It is now at Cortney's house and houses all my little grandboys art supplies.
I don't think I told you guys "Lucky's" is about 15 minutes from me in Bradford. Lucky purchases merchandise from different stores that has been damaged. He purchases a trailer truck load at a time. The merchandise is always new and he employees a couple of guys that uncrates all the merchandise, repairs it and then peeps like myself comes along and scarfs it up! He has new merchandise out most everyday. Can't wait to go back, as matter of fact I think I may get dressed and head on over this afternoon to see what kind of bargains I might run across. Watch out Lucky, here I come!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

Election Anxiety
I don't about you guys, but this election is wearin' me out!!!! I can't stop thinking about it, I can't stop watching it on tv and I can't stop worrying about it. I will just be glad when it's over and I pray it doesn't go on and on and on like it did in 2000!
I read an email today that I would like to share with you:
Top 10 predictions no matter who wins election
1) The Bible will still have all the answers.
2) Prayer will still work.
3) The Holy Spirit still moves.
4) God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5) There will still be God anointed preaching.
6) There will still be singing praises to God.
7) God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
8) There will still be room at the cross.
9) Jesus will still love you.
10) Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.
I will have to say after I read this I felt better. For now it's 8:34 p.m., I'm in El Paso, my wake up call is at 4:15 in the morning and I'm pretty sure I will be exhausted tomorrow after staying up most of the night watching the returns because I am bright eyed and bushy tailed. HA!!

Whats in the box!
Remember last week when I was cleaning out closets and ran across all these dyeable shoes. I thought the Asics box probably contained a pair of stinky old cheerleading shoes. WRONG!!! I've kept you guys in suspense long enough and it is now time to reveal...............drum roll please!!!
It appears to be just your typical asics shoebox. Right? Wrong.........keep drumming....
Oh, here it comes......look the box is opening....wonder what's in there. Should we be afraid!
Oh, here it comes......look the box is opening....wonder what's in there. Should we be afraid!
What is this....hmmm....maybe Lucille Ball reincarnated. I mean after all, I think it has red hair.
Whoa! Hey it looks like Cortney's baby she used to spit up on and drag everywhere! Susie is that you? Oh honey, don't be bashful, it's only my freinds from blogland.
Well I declare! Susie it is you. What are you doing in that Asics box? What..........what do you mean Cortney stuffed you in there years ago, claiming this would be your coffin! How rude!
No Susie you are not the wicked witch of the west and that is not a house that fell on you. It's the coffin, I mean shoebox!
Now come on out. There ya go......now turn over, no one wants to see your backside.
OH MY GOODNESSS GRACIOUS!!!! Gurl, what has happened! What do you mean too much lovin' by a little girl. If that's what lovin' looks like, I don't want no part of it!!!! I know, I know, she dragged you from here to fro.......yep, I remember. You went to Disney World a couple of times, Gulfshores numerous times, camping, bunkin' parties, cheerleading clinic and I'm pretty sure your last big hoorah was to Girls State. I believe that last trip is what did you in. I think it was a game of keep away. Bless your heart!
Well Suz, I guess it's time to put you away. Nice visitin' with ya. I think I'll label your home, so the next time I clean out closets I won't be so shocked. Or maybe we'll take a road trip to Cortney's and she can tuck you away with her bridal shoes, New Kids on the Block t-shirts and box of rose petals. HA!!
By the way I just talked to Casey on the phone and she is so thankful that her puffy resides with here. Yup, that's another story!!
