Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary

Happy Birthday to our son-in-law Ryan. Ryan we've always said "you fit like a glove" in our family. You were just somewhat of a kid when you and Cortney started dating. We've always be so proud of you and proud to say you belong to us.

Ryan is terrific guy who has a fierce love for our Lord and Saviour, our beautiful daughter, Cortney and those three precious babies. Happy Birthday, Ryano! We love you!

This is where is all happened five years ago today. The beautiful Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and what a beautiful day it was. We woke to find six inches of fresh snow had fallen overnight.

The wedding of our precious baby girl, Casey, took place on that snow topped mountain that day and it was magical. Casey you were one of the two most beautiful brides I've ever seen. I'll never forget how nervous you were as Lou was putting your makeup on. How, you jumped up, started pacing the floor, then said "calm down, it's just Josh"! I still get tears in my eyes when I recall this. How just saying the word "Josh" had such a calming effect on you.

Case, I remember so many times you saying, "but, when am I going to find my guy, I'm not going to settle, I want someone who's going to treat me like daddy treats you and how Ryan treats Cortney" and we would always tell you, "God has that special person for you, and he will reveal him when he's ready". And boy were we ever right. Thanks Josh for coming along! Josh was the perfect fit for our baby girl. He puts her on that same pedestal that Ryan puts Cortney on and Alvin puts me on.The above picture is my favorite picture taken at their wedding. You can just see the love flowing, even with their eyes closed. We love you guys - Happy Anniversary!

WOW we both had a lot to celebrate this week, didn't we? We both had a SIL birthday and a daughter's wedding anniversary!

First of all, Happy Birthday to Ryan! How awesome that God blessed your family with a SIL that "fits like a glove"! God certainly blessed him, too, with a beautiful wife, 3 precious boys, and some awesome in-laws!

And Casey --OMG what a beautiful bride! I literally got "goosebumps" when I saw the picture of that chapel! And my favorite photo is the same as yours --love the picture with the eyes closed! Happy Anniversary, Casey and Josh!

Isn't it the best thing in the world when your precious children pick great mates!! I was freaked out when I saw Casey's wedding picture. My daughter Lacey had the same bouquet, a VERY similar wedding dress, and wore her blond hair the same way! Weird how much they looked alike! Happy Birthday and Happy anniversary to your kids!

Hey Girl...what a double blessing on this day!!!! Happy Birthday to your son-in law & Happy Anniversary to your beautiful daughter & her hubby! I am just checking in...been out shopping all day with my baby daughter Jen & the two grandbabies! Saw where you had came by and was asking about the glitter graphics...I only know how to make them glitter on the side bar and in the spaces above the post and way down below the post...I cannot make my header pics glitter! lol But I just go into layout/customize...click add a gadget...then scroll down and click HTML/Java Script..then when that box comes up left click in the content part and then right click and then the little tab will pop up and left click paste & then click save..of course that is after you find your graphic and then copy the code! lol but that is all I know so far about that..if I accidently figure something else out I will let you know! lol have a great weekend sweetie!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I have actually been following the story about the newscaster there and am very sorry for all of you. I heard about it on the Today Show just after it happened and have kept up with it since then. I know when you get used to seeing someone in such a public forum, it is especially sad...I am sad about it and don't even live there! I am making some decisions about what do to, but I appreciate your advice and encouragement as well. It will be put to good use! THANK YOU!
