Project 365 (2 & 3)

Would you believe as soon as I decided to take a photo a day for 365 days my camera broke........just my luck!!! Anywho, my sweet "hero" took me to Little Rock yesterday and I bought a new one. So today's post will be #2 and #3.
#2

I took this picture with my iphone yesterday on our way to Little Rock. I have always had a fascination with clouds and yesterday morning the sky was sooooo blue and the clouds were so puffy. My job affords me to see a multitude of clouds and trust me, I have hundreds of pictures of clouds. When our girls were small we would watch the clouds and try and make different things out of them........ducks, elephants, boats, etc!

I found the above picture on the internet and thought it was amazing......it clearly looks like Christ on the cross!

#3

The above picture I took a few weeks ago. This is our angel birdbath that we have in our backyard. I LUV the way her wings curve around to the front. I always put various flowers in her every year and this year I almost decided to just leave her as a birdbath for the birdies.

However, as you can see when I took this photo today. I just couldn't stand it (sorry little birdies)!!!!! So, a few weeks ago I planted impatients in our angel and look how beautiful she looks!!!

Project 365 (Day 1)

OK guys, I know I have been a horrible blogger latey.......what a slacker, huh? Starting today I am going to try and be a better blogger. After all, I am blogging because I can't seem to journal and I feel as everyone else does, that life goes by awfully fast and I don't want to forget one single thing! So, I am going to copy Jacquie and Kayla and try and document my next 365 days with a photo a day and a short post to go along with it. So here goes.......In the last couple of years I've posted several pictures of this little guy. This is Bosco, AKA, The Fierce Hunter. We adopted Bosco from the North Little Rock Animal Shelter almost six years ago. He is the most loving little guy in the world and he is always tickled pink to see his mommy come home after she's been on a three-day trip!

Finally.....I'm a Bathroom Beauty Snapper

My dear sweet friend Shelia over at Note Songs is having a party tomorrow, May 7th, so go on over the Shelia's and join her Bathroom Beauty Snapper party. It's really easy......all you have to do is snap a picture of yourself in any bathroom!!! Now, don't take it while you're on the potty or in the shower. Stand in front of the mirror and snap*! That's right, now how easy is that!!!

Shelia is the sweetest thing in the world. Here is a picture of Shelia, her daughter and that's right Shelia has finally joined the grandmommyhood!!! Just look at that precious Carter Ashlan, couldn't you just eat her with a spoon. Okay, back to the party. My hero and I were in Gulf Shores last week and I thought it would be neat to take my picture at Lulu's. Lulu, is Jimmy Buffett's sister and she has a wonderful restaurant. Anywhooty, here's my picture. You know, I bet I took at least twenty pics and this was the only one that I would dare put out in blogland. The others were hilarious!!!! I stood in there and giggled for the longest time. At first, I was trying to take it while no one else was in there. Well, let me tell you, that didn't work! So finally I said to myself "just take the picture, it doesn't matter if everyone thinks you are a nut"!!! LOL! One of them even had a little boy in it that I have no clue where he even came from!!! LOL LOL Sooooooo, it's official I'm a Bathroom Beauty Snapper and here is the proof!!!!

Now y'all go on over and visit Shelia, Mr. Precious and Chloe Dawn!!! Oh, and don't forget to have yourself a FANTABULOUS weekend!!!!

Kitchen Before and After

When we bought this house in the spring 0f 1992, the first thing I said when I saw the house was, "Oh, I will have to paint those kitchen cabinets white", to which my hero replied, something like, "over my dead body, those are beautiful oak cabinets"! Well, for years I just let it pass. Then last year I brought it up again, explaining to him, that the kitchen was so small and dark that I thought it would really look a lot bigger and for sure much brighter if the cabinets were painted white and............

Ta da.........what do you think????

Oh, I luv, luv, luv it!!!

Once again, a little paint and a little time and a whole new look!

As you can tell it was fall when I took these pictures. Don't you just luv the my little hen, she is so adorable. T. J. Maxx, baby!!!!

And here's another chick from T. J. Maxx! I also Luv this photo of my Poppa and Grandma, it was one of the last ones I took of them together.

And here is the table I bought from Lou. She gave me such a good deal on it.....I feel like I kinda stole it!

And this Hobby Lobby pumkin holder just brought all together.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit. Come back again soon.

Blessings!

A Not So Recent Project

It's always amazing to me how a few dollars and a little time set aside can transform just about anything. Several months ago and I do mean several months ago........I believe it was last August. I bought a table and chairs from my neice Cindy Lou. I wasn't crazy about the set covers and girls, if you have never recovered seats before, well it is sooooooo easy!!!

You know I LUV all things animal print and I found this cute print at Hobby Lobby for just a few dollars.

Here is what the seat bottoms looked like, not so cute....huh?

Oh, this is gonna be gorgeous!!!

Ta Da, and sure enough, I LUV it!!!

And looky here, I even made some napkins to insert into my other napkins.

What an easy project. Now, in the next day or two I will be showing you guys my kitchen redo. It really isn't much, just a little paint on the cabinets. Oh and how I love them.

But right now I'm heading out the door to go pick up little Ridgey Bear (our baby grandson) who will being staying with Pop and Mimi for the next couple of days. Oh dear.......where did I put my chapstick, I feel alot of kissing those little cheeks coming on!!!!

Y'all have a FABULOUS day!!!!

If I Had My Rathers

I don't about you guys, but we have had a very unusual winter so far. Here in Northeast Arkansas, we usually get one ice storm and one dusting of snow. The winters here are usually mild and the temperature rarely drops below freezing. OMG!!!! It has snowed every week and right now we still have snow on the ground from a couple of weeks ago and then this past Monday it snowed another 5 or 6 inches. We still have snow on the ground! My hero always says, if snow lingers around, it's usually waiting for a friend. Ugh.......it's still lingering and they are calling for more on Sunday. I don't about your guys, but, I'm over it!!!!

I would rather be here building a sandgator

than

here in Arkansas building a snowgater!!!

Come on spring!!!!

Are you guys ready for warmer weather or are you a cold weather lover??

Happy weekend friends!!! I hope you all have a sweetheart to share Valentine's Day with!!!!!

Poor baby

As I was sitting here sipping my first cup of coffee this morning and pondering what I am going to do today, I hear a loud thump. I get up and look out the window to see this sweet little guy sitting on the top of my fierce hunter's house (note FH's house is sitting on our porch swing because he enjoys getting rocked to sleep). This little guy kept flying into the screen door and getting knocked down each time. I go into panic mode because I know who is probably lurking around the corner, waiting to pounce on this sweet baby.

So it's "Becky to the rescue"! Out the back door I go and this really terrifies the poor thing. He starts flying into the screen and trying his best to escape. He finally ends up in a fake ficus tree that I had thrown out earlier in the year.

Look at him, I bet his little heart is beating out of his chest, as is mine, because I know any minute you know who is going to show up and try to get in on the action. I open the back door and shoo him out just as FH rounds the corner.

Yeah.......I know, he looks harmless. He is the most adorable cat known to man kind......but to harmless little birds, he's known as.........the FIERCE HUNTER!!!!

You guys go out and have yourself a blessed day!
