Kitchen Before and After

When we bought this house in the spring 0f 1992, the first thing I said when I saw the house was, "Oh, I will have to paint those kitchen cabinets white", to which my hero replied, something like, "over my dead body, those are beautiful oak cabinets"! Well, for years I just let it pass. Then last year I brought it up again, explaining to him, that the kitchen was so small and dark that I thought it would really look a lot bigger and for sure much brighter if the cabinets were painted white and............

Ta da.........what do you think????

Oh, I luv, luv, luv it!!!

Once again, a little paint and a little time and a whole new look!

As you can tell it was fall when I took these pictures. Don't you just luv the my little hen, she is so adorable. T. J. Maxx, baby!!!!

And here's another chick from T. J. Maxx! I also Luv this photo of my Poppa and Grandma, it was one of the last ones I took of them together.

And here is the table I bought from Lou. She gave me such a good deal on it.....I feel like I kinda stole it!

And this Hobby Lobby pumkin holder just brought all together.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit. Come back again soon.

Blessings!

A Not So Recent Project

It's always amazing to me how a few dollars and a little time set aside can transform just about anything. Several months ago and I do mean several months ago........I believe it was last August. I bought a table and chairs from my neice Cindy Lou. I wasn't crazy about the set covers and girls, if you have never recovered seats before, well it is sooooooo easy!!!

You know I LUV all things animal print and I found this cute print at Hobby Lobby for just a few dollars.

Here is what the seat bottoms looked like, not so cute....huh?

Oh, this is gonna be gorgeous!!!

Ta Da, and sure enough, I LUV it!!!

And looky here, I even made some napkins to insert into my other napkins.

What an easy project. Now, in the next day or two I will be showing you guys my kitchen redo. It really isn't much, just a little paint on the cabinets. Oh and how I love them.

But right now I'm heading out the door to go pick up little Ridgey Bear (our baby grandson) who will being staying with Pop and Mimi for the next couple of days. Oh dear.......where did I put my chapstick, I feel alot of kissing those little cheeks coming on!!!!

Y'all have a FABULOUS day!!!!

If I Had My Rathers

I don't about you guys, but we have had a very unusual winter so far. Here in Northeast Arkansas, we usually get one ice storm and one dusting of snow. The winters here are usually mild and the temperature rarely drops below freezing. OMG!!!! It has snowed every week and right now we still have snow on the ground from a couple of weeks ago and then this past Monday it snowed another 5 or 6 inches. We still have snow on the ground! My hero always says, if snow lingers around, it's usually waiting for a friend. Ugh.......it's still lingering and they are calling for more on Sunday. I don't about your guys, but, I'm over it!!!!

I would rather be here building a sandgator

than

here in Arkansas building a snowgater!!!

Come on spring!!!!

Are you guys ready for warmer weather or are you a cold weather lover??

Happy weekend friends!!! I hope you all have a sweetheart to share Valentine's Day with!!!!!

Poor baby

As I was sitting here sipping my first cup of coffee this morning and pondering what I am going to do today, I hear a loud thump. I get up and look out the window to see this sweet little guy sitting on the top of my fierce hunter's house (note FH's house is sitting on our porch swing because he enjoys getting rocked to sleep). This little guy kept flying into the screen door and getting knocked down each time. I go into panic mode because I know who is probably lurking around the corner, waiting to pounce on this sweet baby.

So it's "Becky to the rescue"! Out the back door I go and this really terrifies the poor thing. He starts flying into the screen and trying his best to escape. He finally ends up in a fake ficus tree that I had thrown out earlier in the year.

Look at him, I bet his little heart is beating out of his chest, as is mine, because I know any minute you know who is going to show up and try to get in on the action. I open the back door and shoo him out just as FH rounds the corner.

Yeah.......I know, he looks harmless. He is the most adorable cat known to man kind......but to harmless little birds, he's known as.........the FIERCE HUNTER!!!!

You guys go out and have yourself a blessed day!
