Whats in the box!

Remember last week when I was cleaning out closets and ran across all these dyeable shoes. I thought the Asics box probably contained a pair of stinky old cheerleading shoes. WRONG!!! I've kept you guys in suspense long enough and it is now time to reveal...............drum roll please!!!

It appears to be just your typical asics shoebox. Right? Wrong.........keep drumming....

Oh, here it comes......look the box is opening....wonder what's in there. Should we be afraid!

What is this....hmmm....maybe Lucille Ball reincarnated. I mean after all, I think it has red hair.

Whoa! Hey it looks like Cortney's baby she used to spit up on and drag everywhere! Susie is that you? Oh honey, don't be bashful, it's only my freinds from blogland.

Well I declare! Susie it is you. What are you doing in that Asics box? What..........what do you mean Cortney stuffed you in there years ago, claiming this would be your coffin! How rude!

No Susie you are not the wicked witch of the west and that is not a house that fell on you. It's the coffin, I mean shoebox!

Now come on out. There ya go......now turn over, no one wants to see your backside.

OH MY GOODNESSS GRACIOUS!!!! Gurl, what has happened! What do you mean too much lovin' by a little girl. If that's what lovin' looks like, I don't want no part of it!!!! I know, I know, she dragged you from here to fro.......yep, I remember. You went to Disney World a couple of times, Gulfshores numerous times, camping, bunkin' parties, cheerleading clinic and I'm pretty sure your last big hoorah was to Girls State. I believe that last trip is what did you in. I think it was a game of keep away. Bless your heart!

Well Suz, I guess it's time to put you away. Nice visitin' with ya. I think I'll label your home, so the next time I clean out closets I won't be so shocked. Or maybe we'll take a road trip to Cortney's and she can tuck you away with her bridal shoes, New Kids on the Block t-shirts and box of rose petals. HA!!

By the way I just talked to Casey on the phone and she is so thankful that her puffy resides with here. Yup, that's another story!!

Well, I know Susie is glad to have seen the light of day! She is cute and that well-worn, loved look looks good on her! Maybe one day you can make a shadow box for Cortney using several keepsakes/photographs from her childhood icluding Susie.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment today to let me know you're visiting. How sweet! Now that I know, I can visit you too. I've had fun looking through your blog. I love this post about finding the doll. So cute.

What a great photo on your header!! Love it. Aren't grandkids the greatest?!

Hugs!

Oh my goodness I am still laughing! That is so funny! Poor Susie! She looked pretty rough. Those girls at Girls State must of been pretty tough.

What a cute post! That looks a lot like my favorite Raggedy Anne doll when I was little. My aunt bought me a new one for Christmas, but I wouldn't have anything to do with it- I wanted the one that had been "well-loved", spit up on, etc.!

Susie is very special and I'm so glad you found her! I love memories like this!

BTW...love the new header photo with all the men in your life! Precious!

ummm I hate to break it to you....but I think that doll might have been better left dead lol...she's looking a wee bit worn around the edges..or in the middle! I don't think you're supposed to be able to see her insides! Fun memories though...and a great post!

That is such a cute doll. I remember having a home made cabbage patch doll that my mom made, I wish I still had it! I can't believe how much work must have gone into making one for me and my twin sister.
