One of my favorite things about my job is getting to fly with my daughter Casey. Casey and I worked a two-day trip together this week with an overnight in Little Rock. As soon as we landed in Little Rock and got checked into our hotel we headed over to Cortney's where we spent the afternoon visiting with Cortney and the grands.
Another favorite thing about my job is occasionally my hero joins me on my trip. Yesterday not only did my hero join us, but our son-in-law Josh did as well. They took us to eat at the Flying Fish. Josh had asked Casey earlier in the afternoon what we were going to do last night and Casey replied, "eat and sleep". Yeah Josh, some of us have to get up at 4:00 a.m. while others get to sleep in. But that's how we roll at Southwest. Early to bed, early up!
In our professional we have what is known as A.M.er's and P.M.er's. As for me, I am a total A.M.er, which means I only work trips that begin early. Morning time is my favortie time of the day, especially at 37,000 ft. It's so peaceful! I have seen some of the most beautiful sun rises. This is the sunrise this morning after we left Little Rock, heading to St. Louis.
We had the most incredible view of the Arch as we were descending into St. Louis this morning.
I'm sorry my post is so short this week. I just got in from my trip a couple of hours ago and I am pooped. I told my hero a few minutes ago, I had 6 take offs and 6 landings today and that's pretty exhausting to say the least. The cities I flew threw this week were: Dallas to Little Rock yesterday. This morning we left Little Rock flew to St. Louis, Louisville, Chicago, Kansas City, and Dallas. Then I kissed Casey goodbye and hopped on my flight to Little Rock and she hopped on her flight to Tulsa.
Until next week........stay safe in your travels.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos. Hope you have a happy Valentine's Day Becky.
What fun.....and quite the family affair rofl!
Girl, I don't know how you do it. First of all, I'm NOT a morning person... so I really admire morning people. But, that's early in the morning!!
I don't know if it's just this picture, but it looks like Casey married someone who resembles her sweet daddy!
Wow! I just thought I was tired after Parent Teacher conferences this week. It is really neat that you get to work with your daughter. My mom and I teach at the same school. I used to teach for another school district for 6 years. The last 5 I have been at a district with my mom. We have a blast.
Wow, that's waaaay early!! I bet you were pooped after all that! So not me! That picture is just beautiful!!!!
What a blessing it is to be able to work with your daughter. You do get to see some spectacular sights!

Another thing we have in common --I am a morning person, too! I can only imagine how peaceful it must be in the skies at that time of the day.

than traveling for a job.
