The handle on my favorite purse broke last week so I grabbed my ole standby (which looks like a jiffy pop pan after the popcorn has been popped). I was in a hurry as always and just threw in my billfold, checkbook, lipstick and off I go. Today I was looking for a pen in my purse and realized there seemed to be an awful lot of unnecessary items. To my dismay this is what I found:
*billfold
*checkbook
*not only the lipstick I put in, but FOUR tubes!!! All the same shade!!!
*crossword puzzle book
*Steinmart coupon that expired April 6th
*Bridal Shower invitation for June 10th
* (4) samples of Bio Freeze
*emery board
*large paper clip
* (1) MCDONALDS FRENCH FRY! WHAT!!!!!! (It looked perfectly normal which is scary)
*Business Card from Raddisson
*Kirklands 2 day only sale card
*An empty BC powder package
*Hand lotion
*2 starbursts
*waded up kleenex
*2 quick liner pencil for the lips
*tube Clinique Super Balm (at least there was only one, not four)
*Plastic ring Reid had given me a few weeks ago that I actually wore while shopping with him.
*Empty Chick fila peppermint wrapper
*A note with a phone number on it and I have absolutely no clue who's number it is!
*21 cents
*Receipts from Dillards, Target, Kroger, Walgreens, Walmart, The Limited, Newport Eyecare
*2 grocery lists
*And finally, AN INK PEN.
I could have gone on "Let's Make A Deal" and probably won. I mean a french fry for Pete's Sake!

That's just too funny sis! Why in the world would you have just one french fry?
Oh, I LOVE a clean purse, but it seems mine becomes a "trash can" quicker than I can clean it out. I guess that is the way it goes when you are a busy mom. And, I think the french fry is part of the grandma role. I'm with you though, it is scary that the french fry looked edible even after sitting in a purse! Oh my!
Your purse is alot like mine! I swear I four kinds of lipstick and don't know why?
Also I get "money off" cards from Kohl's, ColdWater Creek, etc. and I carry them around until they are ragged and the day I finally get to the store...the coupon expired the day before!! Never fails!
I'm not sure about finding a French Fry but you never know for sure until you check out the bottom of the purse!! har

Oh my! We have a lot of the same items in our purses! I even have some BioFreeze. (Is that stuff not wonderful??)
Isn't it amazing what we can accumulate in there? But...you never know when we might need it, right!
