I found the beauty a little late

Guess where I've been! Do you give up? If you guessed in the dark.......you are right!!! And I didn't like it, not even one little bit. Sis, I found absolutely no beauty there. I guess I should tell you if you missed yesterdays post you should probably stop right here and read it or this will make no since. We lost power yesterday afternoon around 4:00.

The first thing I want you to do with these first two pictures is enlarge them and go back to yesterdays post and enlarge the first two pictures and compare the difference. OH MY WORD!!!! I couldn't even believe it myself. The news said this was the worst ice storm since 1932! Ok, let's go find the beauty..........

Above Picture: Hard to believe this is the same picture I took yesterday morning. Remember I was trying to find the beauty in it........well as I look back today on the picture I took yesterday, yesterdays picture truly was beautiful and I didn't even realize it until today. This makes me a little sad.

Picture below: Remember how full this tree was in yesterday's picture. Yeah it was beautiful yesterday too, but again I didn't realize it until today.

There's one of my garden angels.....bless her heart I'm just glad she survived this big ole limb!

This is one shot of the back of our house and another garden angel still in tact.

Here's some of today's beauty. The sun was amazing today!

More beauty.......Farmers Electric. Thanks guys, you're the best!

Our neighbors flag even survived the war zone!

This is the best beauty of them all.
(Lights on)

All in all we're safe, we're warm, the electricity is on and the poppy seed chicken is in the oven......now that's beautiful!

I hope everyone has a wonderful night and I truly hope you all found some beauty in your lives today.

Oh my goodness sister, I can't believe all that damage. Those poor trees and your poor roof. I hope you guys don't have too much damage to that.

I'm glad you are all safe and warm and well fed tonight.

I am so glad that you are safe and staying in a warm lighted house. How awful it must have been without power. I hope the trees didn't do too much damage to your house. What a hassle to deal with when the ice melts. We didn't get the ice like you did, but for some reason we didn't have school today.

Josh and I were talking yesterday about how much we appreciate Ozark Electric Company now after being without power for 2 days. We really take for granted how blessed we are to have a roof over our heads and electricity, and warm water. Fayetteville looks exactly like those pics, if not worse. Glad ya'll didnt get hit too bad. Casey

OH MY I'm so glad you're safe and hopefully your house didn't sustain any damage. Those POOR TREES!! What a mess. We had an ice storm here also but obviously nothing like the one you had. Now if the sun would just come out and melt this stuff!

Oh my....what a difference a day makes! Being from Houston I forget the ice does that to trees! YIKES! I'm sure glad you got your electricity back on. Isn't it amazing what we take for granted and how grateful we can remember to be once we get our lives back to normal. I think God sometimes does little things like "power outages" so we will reminded how wonderful we do have things. Stay safe and WARM!

I just found your blog and have really enjoyed reading it. I love hearing about your flight stories~ I am such a chicken. I am scared of flying (although, I will do it to go places!) Have a great day!

Oh my, that is alot of ice. We never lost power but had alot of snow with the ice. Ice is worse then snow that's for sure. Glad your power is back up and running!

I'm at Jodi's catching up on my blog reading... we're still out of power. Not much beauty in that. Well, unless you count realizing how grateful you are for the things we have. Dave and I have had an interesing morning clearing the mess from the yard. He even had me run the chainsaw once! That's a first!! We're supposed to be getting our generator this afternoon. Yippee!
