A reminder

Yesterday morning we woke up to a temperature of 11 degrees.......wind chill minus 1. Brrrrrrrr! Alvin told me to go out and look at the pond. After seeing it, I thought hey there's something to blog about (I'm desperate here, ok).

Poor little fishies. I'm sure glad they can survive in this yucky weather. As for me......I can't stand it or winter or snow or ice or anything under 78 degrees. Alvin just noticed the ice in the pond is shaped like a heart! Aaaaaaah!

I keep reminding myself that before long this is what the pond will look like.......

And this is what the backyard will look like.

I CAN'T WAIT!!

How about you guys. Do you like cold or warm weather?

I definitely DO NOT like cold weather! I have a very small comfort zone -- about 2 or 3 degrees each way from 68 degrees.

It's been cold here, too!

I'm definitely a warm weather person. I can handle the heat way better than the cold! I'm with you - 78 degrees is just about perfect.

How was the ballgame and birthday party??? Did you get your lips on those grandbabes??

I much prefer to be sitting out by the pool than stuck in the house watching the snow melt. Come on summer !!!
(Of course I reserve the right to complain about the terrible humidity and all the yard work that has to be done in the summer )

Warm weather near a beach is what I would prefer. I love the summer and fall. I like to be outside.

I wear a sweater in the summer so you can imagine I do not like winter!!! We have a joke that I was probably born with a sweater on and socks! Lovely yard - I bet you all have some fun family get-togethers back there.

Give me the cold anytime. I hate the heat! The last family reunion we had was March and people took turns hugging me to get warm because they were all freezing and I was hot.

Wow...the pond is freaky. And the fish lived?!?!?

I like cold, probaby because we don't get much of it here in Houston. I'm planning a trip in Mid-February with a girlfriend to visit some her family and MY "choosen family". They live in Ohio and the specific reason we choose February was because we are hoping to see snow. We've gone several Christmas' over the years and never had snow. They PROMISED it USUALLY snows in Feb.

We are used to 100 degrees here in the summer but would NEVER survive without out air conditioned cars, homes, stores, etc.

I grew up in Arizona so NO I don't like the cold. It was almost 80 yesterday. I'm not ready for it to be that hot either. I still want 70 degree weather. :-)
